Application for Board Vacancy

PRUSD BOARD VACANCY - The Pleasant Ridge Union School District Board of Trustees intends to fill a vacancy on the school board by provisional appointment pursuant to state law. The vacancy was created upon the resignation of Deanne Opdahl, effective on May 14, 2026.

No later than July 13, 2026, the Governing Board of the Pleasant Ridge Union School District will consider whether to make a provisional appointment to fill the vacancy.  

Any person is eligible to be provisionally appointed to the Governing Board if he/she is: 18 years of age or older; a citizen of California; a resident and registered voter of Nevada County, California; and not otherwise legally disqualified from holding civil office. The provisional appointee will hold office as a member of the Governing Board until the next regularly scheduled election in November 2026.
