National School Lunch Program

The Pleasant Ridge Union School District participates in the National School Lunch Program and/or School Breakfast Program by offering healthy meals every school day.

Meals are free for all students for the 2023-24 School Year. However, your children may qualify for additional services, supports, and discounts if they qualify for the National Free/Reduced Lunch Program. Any student who qualifies for Free/Reduced lunch will be eligible for our Extended Learning Opportunity Program (formerly known as After School Rec), as well as various field trips on weekends and during school breaks, at NO COST. Please read the lunch letter below and submit an application if your household income is within the Eligibility Guidelines. Students who are notified that they are directly certified through SNAP, TANF, Medicare, and other sources automatically qualify for Free ELOP services. Direct Certified eligibility letters will go out mid-July. Free ELOP does not apply to Arete Charter Academy students, but other, additional benefits and supports may be available to those who qualify.
