Good Afternoon, Families of PRUSD,
At approximately 10:15 AM this morning, we noticed that one of our schools was losing water pressure. We further investigated the water and found that Cottage Hill and Magnolia lost water pressure. We called NID, who informed us that water may not be restored until 3:00 PM. As a school district, we must have running water or accommodations that provide water for drinking and bathroom use. We were not able to accommodate such a need to keep schools open.
Water was restored, and NID has informed us that there may be slight disruptions when the line is flushed, but everything should be fine for tomorrow, when we can resume school.
