Covid 19 Testing

Good Afternoon Parents,

It was a tough decision to cancel school for three days this week; it was imperative as we did not have enough staff to keep all classrooms open. While being closed at each school site, we clean and disinfect all classrooms, change all HVAC filters, and begin testing clinics tomorrow morning for all students. Covid 19 testing for Asymptomatic (students with no symptoms) will occur at Cottage Hill Elementary School from 9 AM to 12 PM on Wednesday and Thursday. Covid 19 testing for Symptomatic (students who tested positive 5-14 days ago, or those with C19 symptoms) will test at Magnolia Intermediate School in the upper parking lot. If you choose to test your child and this is the first-time testing, they must log on to the Primary website and register your child. https://my.primary.health/l/pleasant-ridge    If you have tested at the school before, there is no need to register your child. All testing will be outdoors, so dress appropriately as there may be a line. Tests are only for PRUSD students.

Schools will resume on Friday at their regular scheduled time; however, there is a chance that transportation may not be available if your child takes a bus. Durham Transportation reported that we might not have enough bus drivers to transport students due to increased positive cases. I will provide updated information as it is given to us.

The government just released an opportunity for all to have a home test delivered your home. The link is attached if you would like to order the home test. I have been informed that these home tests are accessible to all who want them at www.covidtests.gov.

More information is coming out on Nevada County Public Health's new protocol for those who come in direct contact with a positive case.
