Welcome to the Pleasant Ridge Preschool Programs

Pleasant Ridge is proud to offer great preschool programs for 3 year-olds and 4 year-olds at both of our comprehensive elementary schools (Alta Sierra Elementary and Cottage Hill Elementary).  Our preschool programs aim to meet the needs of our families in our community by providing a rich, fun, nurturing environment that will prepare your children for kindergarten while sending them home with a smile on their face everyday.

 

Pleasant Ridge Preschools follow the same calendar year as the elementary schools, but are divided into three 12-week sessions. We have a 4 year-old class that meets on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and a 3 year-old class that meets on Tuesday and Thursday. Both classes meet from 8:15 AM to 11:15 AM. 

 

Each class provides your child with an opportunity for social & emotional development as well as school readiness preparation. Each class is designed to meet the needs of children individually and as a whole unit. Activities and curriculum are age and readiness appropriate. Pleasant Ridge Preschools have their own time on the small playgrounds for recess use as well as visits to each school's library and computer lab.  When age appropriate, we are able to attend the school assemblies.

 

Pleasant Ridge Preschool programs attend three off-site field trips per year, one per session.  We have many other enriching opportunities for the children to experience throughout the year.
